Blog: The Abundant Perennial

Fruit & Nut Village started as a tiny acorn. We would like to say we are now a mighty oak, reaching further into the corners of Birmingham through our edible perennial food growing community initiatives. We have been lucky enough to be a part of this delightful and insightful booklet created by the National Trust, designed to inspire like-minded groups and spur them into meaningful community action.

In March 2025, we began working on three new sites in Billesley, creating new partnerships and friendships whilst doing so.

An all-age group of Ukrainian refugees gathered in Fruit & Nut Village's Reaside Forest Garden in Balsall Heath, on 2nd February 2025.
