Echoes

Welcome nature-lovers! Thank you for spending a couple of hours listening to this Echoes Soundscape, produced in collaboration between Fruit & Nut Village and the University of Birmingham. The tour will take you to public green spaces managed by Fruit & Nut Village, showing diverse community perennial food-growing.

You will hear from local people who have been involved in establishing these growing spaces as we guide you through the trail. This echoes soundscape will take you from Bournville Train Station, through several of our Stirchley growing spaces that showcase different varieties of orchard and forest garden styles, all the way to our special Pebble Mill Forest Garden. We are very grateful to Holly at UoB for creating this soundscape trail.

To undertake this walk through Fruit & Nut Village Stirchley, you will have to download the Echoes app, where you'll be able to follow the special link (found above and embedded below) to our walking trail and listen to the voice-overs triggered at certain locations. The voices will give you directions between the sites, but also tell you information about each growing space, as well as some background on Fruit & Nut Village.
